Hey, I love the sepulchral guard and would love to know your updates to this deck with the recent changes to the "championship format" EG only 3 restricted cards, no keep them guessing.
@WiggleFish Firstly thanks for the deck list, I'd been struggling to make Guard viable and previous versions of the deck involving the keys were too slow and easy to counter (I play against a fair amount of Grymwatch) and thanks to your list I was able to hold my own against them and win a match.
That said, I did make a couple tweaks following the new restricted list and to suit my own playstyle. Instead of duellists speed I added Guardian Glaive and due to my weird love/ hate relationship with potion of rage (the roll fails more often than not when I use it and I prefer more consistent cards I can re-use) and I use ancient commander as that move 3 models has helped me when it comes to scoring (though I am considering swapping it) I also have sting of ur-grub instead of great fortitude (again due to a preference of consistency I'd rather have more chance of drawing cards e.g. larval lance and guardian glaive, very similar cards; to make the harvester more accurate and give him a non-scything attack and great strength and sting of ur-grub pretty much identical)
I've been wanting to fit mischievous spirits in and notice your new list has it in so may have to check that (though I do like transfixing stare, it may be more appropriate to run mischievous spirits)
Lastly with objectives, I see why calculated risk is good for Guard but don't personally run it due to the inclusion of transfixing stare. I like the inclusion of solid gains and will swap catching up from my deck out as I'm usually behind gyrmwatch. I put steadfast defender in in place of calculated risk as a less inconsistent surge (I know, it goes against my mantra of having a consistent deck) It's a tough decision as transfixing has saved me numerous times or stopped a model from moving that I wanted to kill.
That said I have very little experience against other warbands with the bone boys. I mostly play against gyrmwatch so I've no idea how I will fare against Rippa's or Cursebreakers, 2 warbands I expect to face in the coming weeks.
I'm glad this helped you! Interestingly, of the "meta" Warbands, Grymwatch are probably one of the better matchups for skeletons. The changes you made seen solid, Transfixing Stare especially can be a great inclusion.
I think you'll find against the smaller elite Warbands that damage becomes more important. Gloryseeker, Sting of the Urgrub, or perhaps pit trap (but that's very hard to fit) should be considered since there tends to be a turning point where you really need to take out an important fighter (tooled up Stormsire, perhaps) and can sometimes struggle to find the damage to do it in one shot.

Awesome, thank you for the fast reply will give this a go and maybe for this weekend for the grand clash
Cool! Let me know how it goes. For a GC I think I'd definitely try to fit in Gloryseeker or Sting of the Urgrub as I would expect CB and Snarlfangs there.

I think i'd do something like this: https://www.underworldsdb.com/shared.php?deck=0,N302,N499,N489,N529,B295,B274,B363,B305,B398,B411,83,B332,73,76,77,P47,N347,N477,N329,N385,N357,B308,G22,B306,B366,G14,B380,G18,N368,N493,B299,B396&deckname=Sep%20Guard%20-%20Post%20FAR2.0
But i'd also consider adding some more damage like gloryseeker if you have a lot of Cursebreakers and Rippas in your meta.

What would swap out for those cards?
