More Card Breakdowns from the Recent Events

I may or may not have gotten a bit lazy with the previous article's deck breakdowns, so here is some more information on what cards were popular across the 92 decks from the two recent online events.

Special thanks to Underworlds DB for letting me have access to their card database excel sheet, which helps me automatically pull the deck links apart.

Most Popular Cards

As we went over in the other article, here you can see the 50 cards that were the most popular across all 92 decks at the event:

Now we can see how popular these 50 popular cards were for each warband. Here are the first 25 cards:

And here are the next 25:

Cards by Warband

Now lets see how many cards each warband actually used, and how often. See below for a card by card breakdown of each warband with at least 4 decks in the data pool, and allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the cards they used.

I find this stuff pretty interesting, but if you get bored, there is a summary at the end :-)

Note: To get the "unique cards per deck" number I am just dividing the total number of cards by the number of players, which probably isn't the best way of looking at this, but it's the easiest way I thought of at the time. I think as long as you are comparing warbands with similar deck numbers, the comparison is somewhat meaningful.

Hrothgorn's Mantrappers:

The most popular warband at the events, Hrothgorn's Mantrappers had 13/92 decks.

Those 13 decks used 102 different cards. This is an average of 7.8 unique cards per deck, and 3 cards were used in all 13 Mantrapper decks.

Here is every card used:

Rippa's Snarlfangs:

Next we have Rippa's with 8 decks and 77 cards used. This is an average of 9.6 unique cards per deck. Interestingly, no single card was used in all 8 Rippa's decks.

Here is every card used:

Stormsire's Cursebreakers:

Next we have good old Cursebreakers with 7 decks and 63 cards used. This is an average of 9 unique cards per deck, and 10 cards were used in all 7 decks.

Here is every card used:

Zarbag's Gitz:

Next we have Gitz with 7 decks and 86 cards used. This is an average of 12.29 unique cards per deck, and only 4 cards were used in all 7 Gitz decks.

Here is every card used:

Lady Harrow’s Mournflight:

Next we have Harrows with 7 decks and 66 cards used. This is an average of 9.4 unique cards per deck, and 9 cards were used in every Harrows deck.

Here is every card used:

The Grymwatch:

Next we have Grymwatch with 6 decks and 59 cards used. This is an average of 9.8 unique cards per deck, and 12 cards were used in all 6 Grymwatch decks.

Here is every card used:

The Wurmspat:

Next we have Wurmspat with 5 decks and 62 cards used. This is an average of 12.4 unique cards per deck, and 10 cards were used in all 5 decks.

Here is every card used:

Spiteclaw's Swarm:

Next we have Skaven with 5 decks and 73 cards used. This is an average of 14.6 unique cards per deck, and 10 cards were used in all 5 decks.

Here is every card used:

Thorns of the Briar Queen:

Next we have Thorns with 5 decks and 56 cards used. This is an average of 11.2 unique cards per deck, and 14 cards were used in all 5 decks.

Here is every card used:

Thundrik's Profiteers:

Next we have Profiteers with 5 decks and 59 cards used. This is an average of 11.8 unique cards per deck, and 8 cards were used in all 5 decks.

Here is every card used:

Farstriders:

Next we have with 4 decks and 49 cards used. This is an average of 12.25 unique cards per deck, and 13 cards were used in all 4 decks.

Here is every card used:

Mollog's Mob:

Finally we have Mollog with 4 decks and 68 cards used. This is an average of 17 unique cards per deck, and 5 cards were used in all 4 decks.

Here is every card used:

Summary:

Here is a summary of these faction stats:

I think these stats are fairly interesting when it comes to how flexible and diverse some warbands are with their card choices.

For Hrothgorn, despite having a low unique average (likely due to a higher player number), I think it's cool that there were only 3 cards in all of the decks, and high number of cards used. I think this showcases how flexible the warband is.

Comparing Cursebreakers, Gitz, and Harrows, each with 7 decks, it is interesting to see how varied the Gitz decks were with 86 cards used and only 4 in all 7 decks compared to Cursebreakers/Harrows 63/66 cards used and 10/9 cards in every deck. I think this may show the reliance of CB and Harrows on great faction cards, and relatively similar decks across those factions, while Gitz may have fewer faction card auto includes and more ways to play the warband.

Similar comparisons can be made between Thorns, Thundricks, Skaven, and Wurmspat, each with 5 decks.

I also find it interesting Grymwatch, Thorns, and Farstriders each had a very low number of overall cards used as well as a fairly high number of cards shared between all their decks. This seems to indicate to me that players usually play these warbands in very similar ways with very little variance between decks.

Conclusion:

I hope you found this data interesting, I know i did.

If there are any other stats you'd like to see when it comes to event or deck breakdowns, feel free to suggest them and i'll see what I can do.

Thanks!
